So … At the behist of my sister, I’m starting up a Shadowrun game … yes, some of us still play our games around a tabletop. Actually, we’ll be playing around a virtual tabletop, over microphones, using computers to communicate. It’s much easier for everyone than commuting. We’ll see how the experiment works.
So, being as we’ll be playing online, it made sense to store our characters online.
There’s this cool tool out there called RPGWebProfiler. It allows you (if you have a webserver) to store characters online, accessible using any web-capable device. Only problem is it hasn’t seen a whole lot of updates in the last 4-5 years (ie, since the mobile and tablet markets took off). I had some ideas on formatting and other improvements, so I sent mail off to the author.
Now I’m a contributor and bug administrator for the project. Poof: now I’m not only having to run a game, now I’m responsible for the project as well!
Additionally, as I’m putting together this game, I have kids over my shoulder begging me to run a local game around here. So now, it seems, I need to run multiple games!
As if I didn’t have enough things to do!
Think I can survive without sleep?
